Performance and attribution solution vendor evaluation 

Our client was looking for the most suitable performance and attribution solution to support the generation and reporting of performance and attribution analytics for all its funds. We were engaged to perform a vendor/solution evaluation for a performance and attribution solution.

What we did

  • Worked alongside the client’s Head of Performance and their team to produce a list of requirements for the new application
  • Determined the solution evaluation criteria and developed a scorecard based on our proprietary vendor selection framework
  • Based on the core requirements, we facilitated the Request-For-Proposal (RFP) process on behalf of the client which included sending out RFPs, shortlisting responses, developing demonstration scripts, producing vendor score sheets, and reference guides, etc.
  • After responses were received from leading vendors in response to the RFP, we coordinated vendor demonstrations and workshops
  • We performed reference checks, gap analysis, vendor due diligence and risk analysis
  • Subsequently, we facilitated the selection of the final vendor based on cost-benefit analysis and the overall assessment outcomes
  • Negotiation of the vendor agreement on behalf of the client

Our impact

  • The client leveraged our knowledge of the vendor landscape, assessing multiple fitting vendors previously unknown to the client
  • The client made an informed decision on the appropriate vendor for its business requirements
